A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of September 2020 as "National Recovery
Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Behavioral health is an essential part of overall
wellness; and
WHEREAS, Prevention and treatment of mental illness and
substance abuse are effective and essential to achieving
physical and emotional health; and
WHEREAS, Through prevention and treatment, individuals around
the nation and in this Commonwealth are able to recover; and
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives encourages relatives
and friends of affected individuals to implement preventative
measures, recognize the signs of a problem and guide individuals
in need to appropriate treatment and recovery support services;
and
WHEREAS, According to the 2017 National Survey on Drug Use
