A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of November 16 through 20, 2020, as
"American Education Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, National attention must be focused on the integral
role that education plays in preparing citizens of the United
States for the future in an increasingly competitive and
interdependent world; and
WHEREAS, A well-educated workforce is vital to the economic
well-being of the United States and this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, A good education leads to more skilled and higher
paying jobs; and
WHEREAS, "American Education Week" offers all Americans a
wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor
individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every
child receives a quality education; and
WHEREAS, This Commonwealth has a strong and historic
