A RESOLUTION
Honoring the CRC Watersheds Association for 50 years of
watershed protection in Chester and Delaware Counties.
WHEREAS, Headquartered in Newtown Square, Delaware County,
CRC Watersheds Association has earned recognition for its long
stewardship of stream quality conditions, drinking water supply,
biodiversity and recreational access; and
WHEREAS, Local residents formed the association in 1970 to
mitigate the impact of urban and suburban development on the
Chester, Ridley and Crum Creek Watersheds; and
WHEREAS, Supported by hundreds of individual, municipal,
business and institutional partners, the nonprofit association
manages, restores and enhances water resources and native plant
and wildlife populations; and
WHEREAS, The association demonstrates that healthy
watersheds, prudent investment of local resources, community
engagement and responsible use of waterways and open spaces are
essential for building better communities; therefore be it
