A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and service of Staff Sergeant Benjamin S.
Hines, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while
serving the United States Marine Corps, and extending
condolences to his family and friends.
WHEREAS, On April 8, 2019, Staff Sergeant Benjamin S. Hines
was one of three United States Marines killed in the line of
duty while conducting combat operations near Bagram Airfield,
Bagram, Afghanistan; and
WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Hines was from York County and
graduated in 2006 from Dallastown Area High School; and
WHEREAS, He was a member of the ROTC and the football team
while in high school; and
WHEREAS, After high school, he joined the United States
Marine Corps and completed his recruit training in January 2007;
