A RESOLUTION
Designating the week of May 5 through 11, 2019, as "Conservation
District Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Each county, except Philadelphia County, has a
conservation district office with volunteer directors who focus
on local conservation issues; and
WHEREAS, These are neighbors who are working to ensure that
there is enough clean water and healthy soil for the future; and
WHEREAS, During "Conservation District Week," offices across
this Commonwealth will hold events, which include demonstrating
the projects they work on every day that control pollution; and
WHEREAS, Working together, residents can ensure that there is
enough funding for conservation districts; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
week of May 5 through 11, 2019, as "Conservation District Week"
in Pennsylvania; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives urge all
Pennsylvanians to support their local conservation district to
protect our local areas.
