A RESOLUTION
Designating May 2, 2019, as "Oxford Grain and Hay Company Day"
in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Oxford Grain and Hay Company, now called the
Oxford Feed and Lumber Company, celebrates the 100th anniversary
of its operations in 2019; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company is the oldest
continuously operating business in the Oxford area; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company began primarily
selling feed for cattle, over time, diversification toward
selling building and pet supplies has kept the company
successfully growing through economic ups and downs; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company is the second oldest
Purina dealer in the nation and is now a part of the Ace family
of stores; and
WHEREAS, The strategic alliances formed with other businesses
have provided marketing tools and training to help Oxford Feed
and Lumber Company thrive; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company has gone through

changes throughout its 100-year history, although its commitment
and passion for service, ethical business practices, community
involvement and competitive prices have not changed; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company has aligned itself
with the community it serves forming an unbreakable bond; and
WHEREAS, Customers know they will receive friendly service on
a first-name basis with a smile from the company's 50 dedicated
employees; and
WHEREAS, Oxford Feed and Lumber Company continues to supply
its store with the most up-to-date inventory of lumber, building
supplies, hardware and tools, pet and equine supplies, and gifts
and clothing; therefore it be
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate May 2,
2019, as "Oxford Grain and Hay Company Day" in Pennsylvania.
