A RESOLUTION
Recognizing April 25, 2019, as "Take Our Daughters And Sons To
Work Day" in Pennsylvania to coincide with the 26th annual
national and international observance.
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives affirms the
significance of maximizing communication, inclusion and outreach
in our workplaces and communities; and
WHEREAS, "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day" is a
unique educational experience for the benefit of boys and girls
between 8 and 18 years of age; and
WHEREAS, More than 40 million children, young adults, parents
and mentors participated in the April 2018 "Take Our Daughters
And Sons To Work Day" events at more than 3.5 million workplaces
in the United States; and
WHEREAS, The Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Foundation,
a nonprofit organization promoting public awareness of
children's issues through work-based learning activities,

administers this observance; and
WHEREAS, Participants explore work-life integration, learn
new skills and goal-setting principles and engage in new and
continuing partnerships with other children and adults; and
WHEREAS, Moving forward, the Take Our Daughters And Sons To
Work Foundation is expanding its program through science,
technology, engineering and math educational opportunities and
an increased Internet presence; and
WHEREAS, "Workforce Development for All" is the theme for the
2019 observance; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize April
25, 2019, as "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day" in
Pennsylvania to coincide with the 26th annual national and
international observance.
