AN ACT
Designating the bridge, identified as Bridge Key 40209, on State
Route 1014 over the North Branch of Two Lick Creek in Green
Township, Indiana County, as the Private Carl Edgar Keith
Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The Private Carl Edgar Keith Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
follows:
(1) Private Carl Edgar Keith, a native of Starford, gave
his life in service to his country during World War II.
(2) Private Keith served with the United States Army,
Company I, 387th Infantry.
(3) In 1944, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British
Prime Minister Winston Churchill envisioned a volunteer group
to engage in a long-range penetration mission behind enemy
lines in Japanese-occupied Burma.
