AN ACT
Amending Title 68 (Real and Personal Property) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in real estate
foreclosure, providing for building permit information
following sheriff's sale.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 68 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 2307.1. Building permit information following sheriff's sale.
(a) General rule.--The Department of Labor and Industry
shall prepare and provide a building code information document
for each county in this Commonwealth. Each document shall
include, but not be limited to:
(1) Contact information for municipal code enforcement
offices.
(2) Information on building permits and other permits
that may be required before construction on a property can
commence.

(3) Any other information the Department of Labor and
Industry deems necessary.
(b) Duty of sheriff.--A sheriff shall provide the document
provided under subsection (a) to any purchaser of a property at
a sheriff's sale.
(c) Updates.--The Department of Labor and Industry shall be
responsible for updating the documents under subsection (a) on
an annual basis.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
