AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in school security, further providing
for school police officers powers and duties.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1306-C of the act of March 10, 1949
(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
amended by adding a paragraph to read:
Section 1306-C. Powers and duties.
A school police officer appointed under section 1302-C(b)
shall possess and exercise all the following powers and duties:

(2.1) If authorized by the court, to exercise the same
powers as exercised under authority of law or ordinance by
the police of the municipality in which the school property
is located. This paragraph shall not apply to an individual

provided through a third-party vendor.

Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
