AN ACT
Making appropriations from the Emergency Medical Services
Operating Fund to the Department of Health for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 2019, and for the payment of bills
incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year
ending June 30, 2020.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
PART I
PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS
Section 101. Short title.
This act shall be known and may be cited as the Appropriation
Act of 2019 – Emergency Medical Services Operating Fund.
PART III
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
OPERATING FUND APPROPRIATIONS
FOR 2019-2020
Section 301. Appropriations from Emergency Medical Services
Operating Fund.
The following amounts, or as much thereof as may be
necessary, are hereby appropriated from the Emergency Medical

Services Operating Fund to the Department of Health for the
purposes specified in this part for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 2019, and for the payment of bills incurred and
remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal year ending June 30,
2020.
Section 302. Department of Health.
The following amounts are
appropriated to the Department of
Health: Federal State
For emergency medical services.
State appropriation....... 9,575,000
For Catastrophic Medical and
Rehabilitation Program.
State appropriation....... 4,500,000
PART V
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
Section 501. (Reserved).
Section 502. Effective date.
This act shall take effect July 1, 2019, or immediately,
whichever is later.
