AN ACT
Amending the act of December 22, 2011 (P.L.586, No.127),
entitled "An act providing for gas and hazardous liquids
pipelines and for powers and duties of the Pennsylvania
Public Utility Commission; and imposing civil penalties," in
pipeline operators, providing for approval of construction or
development of pipelines.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of December 22, 2011 (P.L.586, No.127),
known as the Gas and Hazardous Liquids Pipelines Act, is amended
by adding a section to read:
Section 303. Approval of construction or development of
pipelines.
The construction or development of a pipeline which traverses
three or more counties may not be initiated unless t he General
Assembly, by concurrent resolution, approves of the construction
or development of the pipeline. This section shall apply to the
construction or development of pipelines initiated on or after
the effective date of this section.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days
