AN ACT
Amending Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in miscellaneous provisions, further
providing for contraband prohibited.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 5902 of Title 61 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
§ 5902. Contraband prohibited.

(f.1) Reports.--The following apply:
(1) A corrections officer or an agent as defined in
section 6151 (relating to definitions) who observes a
violation of subsection (a) or (e) or 18 Pa.C.S. § 5123(a) or
(c) (relating to contraband) shall report the violation to
the Pennsylvania State Police.
(2) In addition to any other penalties imposed by the
laws of this Commonwealth, a person commits an offense if the
person by any scheme or device or in any other matter

intentionally or knowingly obstructs, interferes with,
impairs, impedes or perverts a report under this subsection.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
