AN ACT
Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in hunting and furtaking, further providing for
unlawful devices and methods; and abrogating a regulation.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2308(b.1) of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
§ 2308. Unlawful devices and methods.

(b.1) Additional [exception] exceptions.--
(1) A semiautomatic rifle may be used to hunt game in
accordance with regulations promulgated by the commission.
(2) The provisions of subsection (a)(6) shall not apply
to the hunting of deer.

Section 2. The provisions of 58 Pa. Code § 141.6 (relating
to illegal devices) are abrogated insofar as they are
inconsistent with section 2308(b.1)(2).

Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
