A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of March 2018 as "Bleeding Disorders
Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's
National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities
and the Division of Blood Disorders have joined together in
support of the annual "Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month"; and
WHEREAS, "Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month" was established
in part with the National Hemophilia Foundation and its 54
chapter organizations to raise awareness of bleeding disorders
and the importance of conducting research, educational outreach
and providing advocacy initiatives; and
WHEREAS, More than 3 million individuals in the United States
are diagnosed with a bleeding disorder; and
WHEREAS, The National Hemophilia Foundation has worked to
advance research on hemophilia and other related bleeding
