AN ACT
Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in sentencing, providing
for parole of offenders and sexually violent predators.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 9799.42. Parole of offenders and sexually violent predators.
No offender or sexually violent predator shall be paroled
from a State or county correctional institution until the
offender has secured a residence and provided the address of the
residence to the Pennsylvania State Police. If an offender or
sexually violent predator is unable to secure a residence, the
Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania Board of
Probation and Parole shall provide reasonable assistance in
securing a residence.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
