AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in trade and commerce, imposing
penalties on employers who engage in the unlawful employment
of undocumented individuals.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 7332. Unlawful employment of undocumented individuals.
(a) Prohibition.--An employer who is found by a court or
administrative agency to have violated section 274A of the
Immigration and Nationality Act (66 Stat. 163, 8 U.S.C. § 1324a)
shall be subject to the suspension or revocation of its business
or professional license by the applicable licensing authority in
addition to a fine as provided for in subsection (b).
(b) Penalty.--An employer who violates subsection (a) shall
be sentenced or ordered to pay a civil fine in the amount of
$5,000.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
