AN ACT
Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
welfare laws of the Commonwealth," in children and youth,
further providing for adoption opportunity payments and
reimbursement.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 774 of the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31,
No.21), known as the Human Services Code, is amended by adding a
subsection to read:
Section 774. Adoption Opportunity Payments and
Reimbursement.--* * *
(d) The amount of the adoption subsidy provided by the local
authority may be appealed to the department by the adoptive
family. CHILD APPLYING FOR OR RECEIVING ADOPTION ASSISTANCE OR A
PERSON ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE CHILD. THE APPEAL SHALL BE
CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 403 AND 423.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
