AN ACT
Making appropriations from the Philadelphia Taxicab and
Limousine Regulatory Fund and the Philadelphia Taxicab
Medallion Fund to the Philadelphia Parking Authority for
fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The sum of $8,640,000 is hereby appropriated from
the Philadelphia Taxicab and Limousine Regulatory Fund to the
Philadelphia Parking Authority for the fiscal year July 1, 2016,
to June 30, 2017.
Section 2. The sum of $2,000,000 is hereby appropriated from
the Philadelphia Taxicab Medallion Fund to the Philadelphia
Parking Authority for the fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30,
2017.
Section 3. The following shall apply:
(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the
contrary, for the fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017,
all funds including assessments, fees, penalties and other
revenues, interest earned, refunds and repayments generated

from and related to the administration and enforcement of the
legalization of the operation of transportation network
companies in a city of the first class under an act of the
General Assembly shall be deposited into a special account
created by the State Treasurer within the Philadelphia
Taxicab and Limousine Regulatory Fund.
(2) Money deposited into the special account under
paragraph (1) shall be transferred in equal amounts each
month by the State Treasurer as follows:
(i) Sixty-six and sixty-seven hundredths percent to
a school district of the first class.
(ii) Thirty-three and thirty-three hundredths
percent to the Philadelphia Parking Authority for
purposes of administering and enforcing the provisions of
the act of the General Assembly authorizing the operation
of transportation network companies and ride-sharing in a
city of the first class.
Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016, or
immediately, whichever is later.
