AN ACT
Authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
approval of the Governor, to partially release a reversionary
interest and use restriction affecting certain real property
situate in the Township of Weisenberg, Lehigh County.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Authorization for partial release.
The Department of General Services, with the approval of the
Governor, is hereby authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania to partially release a reversionary interest and
educational use restriction affecting certain real property
previously conveyed to The Pennsylvania State University by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting by and through the
Department of General Services under the authority contained in
section 2409-A of the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175),
known as The Administrative Code of 1929, on such terms,
conditions and for such consideration as is acceptable to the
Secretary of General Services.
Section 2. Property description.

The reversionary interest and educational use restriction
referenced under section 1 affect a tract of land totaling
approximately 0.89 acres, situate in the Township of Weisenberg,
Lehigh County, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as more
fully described in a deed dated August 29, 1973, and recorded at
the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for the County of Lehigh at
Deed Book 1182, Page 400, containing approximately 0.89 acres of
land. Being the same property conveyed to The Pennsylvania State
University by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting by and
through the Department of General Services, by its deed, dated
December 20, 1993, and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds for Lehigh County in Deed Book 1519, Page 426.
Section 3. Description of interest and restriction.
The reversionary interest and educational use restriction
contained in the deed to The Pennsylvania State University
referenced above is as follows:
"THE PROPERTY hereby conveyed shall be used for educational
purposes by The Pennsylvania State University, and, if at any
time The Pennsylvania State University or its successors in
function conveys the property or permits the property to be used
for any purpose other than those specified herein, the title to
the property shall immediately revert to and revest in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania."
Section 4. Partial release.
The reversionary interest and the educational use restriction
referenced above are authorized to be released except the
following portions, which shall remain in effect:
"THE PROPERTY hereby conveyed shall be used for educational
purposes."
Section 5. Legal instruments.

Any legal instruments necessary to partially release the
reversionary interest and the educational use restriction, as
authorized above, shall be executed by the Secretary of General
Services in the name of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Section 6. Costs and fees.
Any costs and fees incidental to the partial release hereby
authorized shall be borne by The Pennsylvania State University.
Section 7. Proceeds.
Any proceeds received by the Department of General Services
for the partial release hereby authorized shall be deposited
into the General Fund.
Section 8. Effective date.
This act shall take effect immediately.
