A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Bishop Canevin High School girls volleyball
team on winning the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic
Association Class A State Championship.
WHEREAS, The Bishop Canevin High School girls volleyball team
established itself as one of the top teams in Class A over the
years but prior to the 2015 season, was unable to advance past
the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association
quarterfinals; and
WHEREAS, The team sets high expectations each season but
entering this year with 11 seniors, the aim for the Crusaders
was to advance to its fourth consecutive Western Pennsylvania
Interscholastic Athletic League title game; and
WHEREAS, The team defeated Shenango in the Western
Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League finals, winning its
second Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League
title in three seasons; and
WHEREAS, The Crusaders faced off against North Star for the
Class A championship, ultimately capturing the first State title

in program history with a 3 sets to 0 win and finishing the
season with a 24-3 record; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate the
Bishop Canevin High School girls volleyball team on winning the
Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class A State
Championship.
