A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of November 2015 as "Military Family
Appreciation Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Each year the President of the United States signs a
proclamation declaring November "Military Family Month," thus
beginning a month-long celebration of military families for
their commitment and contributions made every day in support of
the military and our nation; and
WHEREAS, Our Commonwealth is home to military service members
and families representing every branch of the armed forces; and
WHEREAS, Military families confront difficult and prolonged
challenges in separations from their loved ones or in
relocations to bases across the country or across the world; and
WHEREAS, Many military family members volunteer to provide

support to deployed service members and aid to fellow military
families; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Defense will acknowledge the
commitments and sacrifices of the families of active, guard and
reserve members of our armed forces, working together with
military bases, community leaders and businesses in recognizing
these families with special events throughout the month; and
WHEREAS, Pennsylvania is proud to recognize and honor the
families of our service members who, through their love and
support, also help ensure our continued freedom, liberty and way
of life; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
month of November 2015 as "Military Family Appreciation Month"
in Pennsylvania in honor of this Commonwealth's military
families and encourage our citizens to recognize the outstanding
contributions that these families have made to aid those who
defend our nation.
