A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of May 2015 as "Teacher Appreciation
Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, A strong, effective system of school education for
all children and youth is essential to our democratic system of
government; and
WHEREAS, The United States has made considerable progress in
social, technological and scientific fields through our
education system; and
WHEREAS, Much of this progress can be attributed to the
qualified and dedicated teachers entrusted with educating our
children to their full potential; and
WHEREAS, Teachers should be held in high public esteem in
keeping with the value of education in our communities; and

WHEREAS, Students, parents, public officials and citizens
nationwide are keenly aware of the importance and impact of
teachers on children; and
WHEREAS, It is appropriate that teachers be recognized for
their dedication and commitment to educating students; therefore
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
month of May 2015 as "Teacher Appreciation Month" in
Pennsylvania and urge all residents to pay tribute to our school
teachers.
