A RESOLUTION
Honoring D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., which was named the 2014
Craft Brewing Company in the Nation by the Brewers
Association.
WHEREAS, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., was established as the
Eagle Brewery in 1929 by David G. Yuengling; and
WHEREAS, The present facility was built two years later in
Pottsville; and
WHEREAS, Current operation of D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., is
led by President Richard L. Yuengling, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., is lauded as America's
oldest brewery and as the longest, continuously operating
brewery in the United States; and
WHEREAS, It has the longest uninterrupted history of
management by a single family in the country; and
WHEREAS, In addition to being named the top craft brewing
company in the nation in its first year of eligibility, it was
ranked fourth for the sixth consecutive year among the Top 50
United States Overall Brewing Companies; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., has
maintained a tradition of excellence, remaining responsive to
the ever-changing interests of the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc.'s steady progress is a
tribute to the Yuengling family and its dedicated employees;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor D.G.
Yuengling & Son, Inc., which was named the 2014 Craft Brewing
Company in the Nation by the Brewers Association; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives offer best wishes
for continued growth and success in the years to come.
