AN ACT
Amending the act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45), entitled
"An act establishing a uniform construction code; imposing
powers and duties on municipalities and the Department of
Labor and Industry; providing for enforcement; imposing
penalties; and making repeals," further providing for
applicability.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 902 of the act of November 10, 1999
(P.L.491, No.45), known as the Pennsylvania Construction Code
Act, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
Section 902. Applicability to certain buildings.

(e) Former agricultural buildings utilized for limited
public occupancy.--A former agricultural building located on a
farm which is used as a place of public occupancy for public or
private events, including weddings, receptions, meetings,
demonstrations of farm activities, meals, and other events which
are taking place on the farm because of its historic, farm or

rural setting, are not subject to automatic fire sprinkler
requirements under this act.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
