AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in victim and witness intimidation,
further providing for retaliation against witness, victim or
party.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 4953(b) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 4953. Retaliation against witness, victim or party.

(b) Grading.--The offense is a felony of the third degree if
the retaliation is accomplished by any of the means specified in
section 4952(b)(1) [through (5)] (relating to intimidation of
witnesses or victims). Otherwise the offense is a misdemeanor of
the second degree.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
