AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for Share
the Road plate.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
declares that this act shall be known and may be cited as the
Dave Bachman Act.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 1358.1. Share the Road plate.
The department shall design a Share the Road registration
plate. Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of
$40, which shall be in addition to the regular annual
registration fee, the department shall issue the plate for a
passenger car or truck with a registered gross weight of not
more than 14,000 pounds or a motor home. The fee shall be used

exclusively to maintain the department's central office position
of Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator and to fund highway
pedalcycle signage approved by the department.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
