1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, providing for special plate to commemorate 9/11;
3and making an appropriation.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8§ 1370. Special plate to commemorate 9/11.

9(a) Plate.--The department, in consultation with Flight 93
10National Memorial, Inc., shall design a special registration
11plate to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. Upon
12application of any person, accompanied by a fee of $35 that
13shall be in addition to the annual registration fee, the
14department shall issue the plate for a passenger car, motor
15home, trailer or truck with a registered gross weight of not
16more than 10,000 pounds.

17(b) Appropriation.--Fifteen dollars from each additional fee

1authorized under subsection (a) are appropriated to the Friends
2of Flight 93 National Memorial, Inc. The funds appropriated
3under this subsection must be used for the construction,
4operation or maintenance of the Flight 93 National Memorial.

5Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
