1Urging the United States Army to reconsider the temporary
2suspension of the production of Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

3WHEREAS, The Bradley Fighting Vehicle has been vitally
4important in protecting soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines
5valiantly defending this nation abroad for more than 20 years;
6and

7WHEREAS, The York facility of BAE Systems, Inc., and more
8than 1,400 individuals are solely dedicated to the production of
9Bradley Fighting Vehicles; and

10WHEREAS, The United States Army plans to temporarily suspend
11the production of Bradley Fighting Vehicles having a clear
12negative impact on the 1,400 workers and suppliers of the York
13facility; and

14WHEREAS, A temporary suspension of the production of Bradley
15Fighting Vehicles would force highly skilled workers to
16transition to other projects or jobs and negatively impact
17future production of Bradley Fighting Vehicles to the detriment

1of our troops and nation; therefore be it

2RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
3Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urge the United States Secretary of
4the Army to reconsider the temporary suspension of the
5production of Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
