AN ACT
1Designating a portion of Bushkill Center Road in Northampton
2County as the Veterans Memorial Highway.
3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:
5Section 1. Veterans Memorial Highway.
6(a) Findings.--
7(1) Residents of Bushkill Township in Northampton County
8have fought in every military conflict, including World War
9II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Operations Desert Storm
10and Desert Shield and the recent conflicts in Iraq and
11Afghanistan.
12(2) Hundreds of veterans and their families have made
13unimaginable and innumerable sacrifices in defense of the
14United States.
15(b) Designation.--The section of Bushkill Center Road in
1Northampton County from State Route 512 to Jacobsburg Road is
2hereby designated the Veterans Memorial Highway.
3(c) Signs.–-The Department of Transportation shall erect and
4maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the highway to
5traffic in both directions on the highway.
6Section 2. Effective date.
7This act shall take effect immediately.
