1Designating a bridge on that portion of S.R. 128 over Buffalo
2Creek, Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, as the Freeport
3Veterans Bridge.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Freeport Veterans Bridge.

7(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds as follows:

8(1) Armstrong County wishes to honor the citizens of
9Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, who have served or are
10currently serving our nation in the armed forces.

11(2) Freeport Borough, Armstrong County residents served
12in every major United States military conflict.

13(3) Thousands of people from Freeport Borough, Armstrong
14County, have served in defense of the United States.

15(b) Designation.--The bridge located on S.R. 128 over
16Buffalo Creek, Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, is hereby
17designated the Freeport Veterans Bridge.

18(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
19maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to

1traffic in both directions on the bridge.

2Section 2. Effective date.

3This act shall take effect in 60 days.
