1Amending the act of December 7, 1982 (P.L.784, No.225),
2entitled, as amended, "An act relating to dogs, regulating
3the keeping of dogs; providing for the licensing of dogs and
4kennels; providing for the protection of dogs and the
5detention and destruction of dogs in certain cases;
6regulating the sale and transportation of dogs; declaring
7dogs to be personal property and the subject of theft;
8providing for the abandonment of animals; providing for the
9assessment of damages done to animals; providing for payment
10of damages by the Commonwealth in certain cases and the
11liability of the owner or keeper of dogs for such damages;
12imposing powers and duties on certain State and local
13officers and employees; providing penalties; and creating a
14Dog Law Restricted Account," further providing for
15requirements for kennels.

16The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
17hereby enacts as follows:

18Section 1. Section 207 of the act of December 7, 1982
19(P.L.784, No.225), known as the Dog Law, is amended by adding a
20subsection to read:

3(c.2) Display of information by pet <-shop kennels shop-
4kennels.--

5(1) <-A Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (c),
6a dog offered for sale by a pet <-shop kennel shop-kennel shall
7have the following information posted conspicuously on its
8cage:

9(i) The breed, age, and date of birth of the dog.

10(ii) The state in which the breeder of the dog is
11located.

12(iii) The United States Department of Agriculture
13License number of the breeder, if required.

14(iv) The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture
15License number of the breeder, if required.

16(v) Documentation of all inoculations, worming
17treatments and other medical treatments, if any,
18including the date of the medical treatment, the
<-19diagnoses diagnosis and the name and title of the
20treatment provider.

<-21(2) Nothing in this subsection may apply to dogs from a
22nonprofit kennel sold or offered for sale through a pet shop
23kennel.

<-24(2) A dog offered for sale or adoption on behalf of a
25licensed nonprofit kennel by a pet shop-kennel shall have the
26information in paragraph (1) posted conspicuously on its cage
27to the extent the information is known.
