1Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in Pennsylvania Game Commission, further providing
3for organization of commission and for its powers and duties.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Sections 301(a) and 322(b) of Title 34 of the
7Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:

8§ 301. Organization of commission.

9(a) Composition.--The independent administrative commission
10known as the Pennsylvania Game Commission shall consist of eight
11competent citizens of this Commonwealth who shall be well
12informed on the subject of wildlife conservation and
13restoration, who are not current or former employees or deputy 
14conservation officers of the commission and who shall be
15appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of
16two-thirds of the elected members of the Senate.

18§ 322. Powers and duties of commission.

2(b) General powers and duties.--The commission has the power
3and duty to take all actions necessary for the administration
4and enforcement of this title. In all wildlife management 
5decisions, the commissioners shall be guided by the principles 
6of best management practices utilizing scientific analysis 
7supported by verifiable data with equal regard for the social, 
8economic and recreational impacts of their decisions.
