1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, providing for Appalachian Trail plates.

3The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4hereby enacts as follows:

5Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

7§ 1352.1. Appalachian Trail plates.

8The department, in consultation with the Appalachian Trail
9Conservancy, shall design a special Appalachian Trail plate.
10Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of $35
11which shall be in addition to the annual registration fee, the
12department shall issue the plate for a passenger car, motor
13home, trailer or truck with a registered gross weight of not
14more than 9,000 pounds. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy shall
15receive $15 of each additional fee for the plate.

16Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
