1Amending the act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331), entitled
2"An act concerning townships of the first class; amending,
3revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating
4thereto," in contracts, further providing for general
5regulations concerning contracts.

6The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7hereby enacts as follows:

8Section 1. Section 1802(d)(3.1) of the act of June 24, 1931
9(P.L.1206, No.331), known as The First Class Township Code,
10reenacted and amended May 27, 1949 (P.L.1955, No.569) and added
11June 25, 1997 (P.L.332, No.36), is amended to read:

12Section 1802. General Regulations Concerning Contracts.--* *

14(d) The contracts or purchases made by the commissioners
15which shall not require advertising, bidding or price
16quotations, as hereinbefore provided, are as follows:

18(3.1) Those for used equipment, articles, apparatus,

1appliances, vehicles or parts thereof being purchased from a
2public utility, municipal corporation, county, school district, 
3municipality authority, council of government or Federal or 
4State government.

6Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
