1Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2act relating to the public school system, including certain
3provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5laws relating thereto," further providing for limitations on
6certain unreserved fund balances.

7The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8hereby enacts as follows:

9Section 1. Section 688 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
10No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by
11adding a subsection to read:

12Section 688. Limitations on Certain Unreserved Fund
13Balances.--* * *

14(d) No charter or cyber charter school entity shall receive
15payment from a school district entity unless it has adopted a
16budget that includes an estimated unreserved, undesignated fund
17balance of less than five per centum (5%) of the total budgeted
18expenditures.

19Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
