AN ACT
1Amending the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), entitled
2"An act providing for and reorganizing the conduct of the
3Executive Department thereof and the administrative
4departments, boards, commissions, and officers thereof,
5including the boards of trustees of State Normal Schools, or
6Teachers Colleges; abolishing, creating, reorganizing or
7authorizing the reorganization of certain administrative
8departments, boards, and commissions; defining the powers and
9duties of the Governor and other executive and administrative
10officers, and of the several administrative departments,
11boards, commissions, and officers; fixing the salaries of the
12Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and certain other executive
13and administrative officers; providing for the appointment of
14certain administrative officers, and of all deputies and
15other assistants and employes in certain departments, boards,
16and commissions; and prescribing the manner in which the
17number and compensation of the deputies and all other
18assistants and employes of certain departments, boards and
19commissions shall be determined," in Department of Aging,
20further providing for the allocation of resources.
21The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
22hereby enacts as follows:
23Section 1. Section 2210-A(a) of the act of April 9, 1929
24(P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929,
25amended December 15, 1988 (P.L.1244, No.153), is amended to
1read:
2Section 2210-A. Allocation of Resources.--(a) The area
3agency shall receive a basic allocation of resources, consisting
4of State and Federal funds weighted by the proportion of older
5poor persons who reside in the planning and service area in
6relation to the total number of older poor persons who reside in
7the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania utilizing poverty threshold
8income standards as determined by the United States Office of
9Management and Budget [except that each area agency shall be
10held harmless to the amount of State funds received in the
11preceding program year].
