| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, in fishing licenses, further providing for |
3 | provisions relating to disabled veterans and former prisoners |
4 | of war. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Section 2707(a) of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania |
8 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
9 | § 2707. Disabled veterans and former prisoners of war. |
10 | (a) General rule for disabled veterans.--Any disabled |
11 | veteran who has a disability incurred in any war or armed |
12 | conflict which consists of the loss of one or more limbs, or the |
13 | loss of use of one or more limbs, or total blindness, or who is |
14 | [100%] 50% disabled as certified by the United States Department |
15 | of Veterans Affairs, and who meets the qualifications of section |
16 | 2701 (relating to resident fishing licenses), shall be issued a |
17 | free resident fishing license upon application to the commission |

1 | or a county treasurer. An application submitted by a disabled |
2 | veteran shall, in addition to any information required under |
3 | section 2701, contain a statement that the applicant is a war or |
4 | armed conflict veteran and that the qualifying disability was |
5 | service incurred. The issuing agent or the commission may |
6 | require the production of the discharge papers of the applicant. |
