AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for special

3

registration plates for recipients of the Silver Star, Bronze

4

Star and Bronze Star with Valor.

5

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

8

Statutes is amended by adding sections to read:

§ 1366.  Special plates for recipients of Silver Star.

10

Upon application of any person who is a recipient of the

11

Silver Star, accompanied by a fee of $10 which shall be in

12

addition to the annual registration fee and by such

13

documentation as the department shall require, the department

14

shall issue to the person a special registration plate

15

designating the vehicle so licensed as belonging to a person who

16

is a recipient of the Silver Star. The special registration

17

plate may be used only on a passenger car or truck with a

18

registered gross weight of not more than 10,000 pounds.

§ 1367.  Special plates for recipients of Bronze Star.

Upon application of any person who is a recipient of the

3

Bronze Star, accompanied by a fee of $20 which shall be in

4

addition to the annual registration fee and by such

5

documentation as the department shall require, the department

6

shall issue to the person a special registration plate

7

designating the vehicle so licensed as belonging to a person who

8

is a recipient of the Bronze Star. The special registration

9

plate may be used only on a passenger car or truck with a

10

registered gross weight of not more than 10,000 pounds.

§ 1368.  Special plates for recipients of Bronze Star with

12

Valor.

Upon application of any person who is a recipient of the

14

Bronze Star for Valor, accompanied by a fee of $10 which shall

15

be in addition to the annual registration fee and by such

16

documentation as the department shall require, the department

17

shall issue to the person a special registration plate

18

designating the vehicle so licensed as belonging to a person who

19

is a recipient of the Bronze Star for Valor. The special

20

registration plate may be used only on a passenger car or truck

21

with a registered gross weight of not more than 10,000 pounds.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 120 days.
