| A RESOLUTION |
| |
1 | Honoring the life and work of Albert F. Paschall, Jr., retired |
2 | President, Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce; and |
3 | extending condolences. |
4 | WHEREAS, Albert F. Paschall, Jr., age 58, retired president |
5 | of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, died of pneumonia |
6 | on Monday, May 28, 2012, at Wuesthoff Medical Center in |
7 | Melbourne, Florida; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall retired June 30, 2011, after 25 years |
9 | as booster and advocate for the Chamber of Commerce and its |
10 | member businesses; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall was born and raised in Bridgeport and |
12 | was one of the borough's first Eagle Scouts; and |
13 | WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall trained at night school in Philadelphia |
14 | as a journalist and went to work for the Norristown Times Herald |
15 | and the King of Prussia Today's Post; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall founded the King of Prussia Chamber of |

1 | Commerce and was its president from 1989 until the merger in |
2 | 2006 of several local chambers into the Montgomery County |
3 | Chamber of Commerce; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall also cofounded the Lincoln Institute of |
5 | Public Opinion Research, a conservative think tank, in 1992; and |
6 | WHEREAS, In 1995, the Lincoln Institute debuted a half-hour |
7 | public affairs radio program, the "Lincoln Radio Journal," with |
8 | Mr. Paschall as its commentator, and it grew from a monthly |
9 | radio program airing on six radio stations into a weekly |
10 | broadcast on 81 stations throughout Pennsylvania; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Albert F. Paschall, Jr., is survived by his wife, |
12 | Dianne Ryan-Paschall, former publisher of Main Line Media News, |
13 | and sons Calvin and Graham Paschall; therefore be it |
14 | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life |
15 | and work of Albert F. Paschall, Jr., and extend condolences to |
16 | his family and friends. |
