INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, JUNE 14, 2012  

A RESOLUTION

Honoring the life and work of Albert F. Paschall, Jr., retired

President, Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce; and

extending condolences.

WHEREAS, Albert F. Paschall, Jr., age 58, retired president

of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, died of pneumonia

on Monday, May 28, 2012, at Wuesthoff Medical Center in

Melbourne, Florida; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall retired June 30, 2011, after 25 years

as booster and advocate for the Chamber of Commerce and its

member businesses; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall was born and raised in Bridgeport and

was one of the borough's first Eagle Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall trained at night school in Philadelphia

as a journalist and went to work for the Norristown Times Herald 

and the King of Prussia Today's Post; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall founded the King of Prussia Chamber of

Commerce and was its president from 1989 until the merger in

2006 of several local chambers into the Montgomery County

Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paschall also cofounded the Lincoln Institute of

Public Opinion Research, a conservative think tank, in 1992; and

WHEREAS, In 1995, the Lincoln Institute debuted a half-hour

public affairs radio program, the "Lincoln Radio Journal," with

Mr. Paschall as its commentator, and it grew from a monthly

radio program airing on six radio stations into a weekly

broadcast on 81 stations throughout Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, Albert F. Paschall, Jr., is survived by his wife,

Dianne Ryan-Paschall, former publisher of Main Line Media News,

and sons Calvin and Graham Paschall; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life

and work of Albert F. Paschall, Jr., and extend condolences to

his family and friends.
