| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for duty of driver in |
3 | construction and maintenance areas or on highway safety |
4 | corridors. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Section 3326 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
8 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read: |
9 | § 3326. Duty of driver in construction and maintenance areas or |
10 | on highway safety corridors. |

12 | (f) Prohibited acts.--While in an active construction zone, |
13 | a motor vehicle operator shall not use a handheld electronic |
14 | device. A violation of this subsection shall be a summary |
15 | offense. |
16 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
