AN ACT

Designating an interchange at the intersection of Route 136 and

Interstate 70 in Washington County as the Officer John David

Dryer Memorial Interchange.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Officer John David Dryer Memorial Interchange.

(a)  Redesignation.--The section of highway located at Exit

20 at the intersection of Route 136 and Interstate 70 in

Washington County, formerly known as the Beau Street

Interchange, is redesignated and shall be known as the Officer

John David Dryer Memorial Interchange in honor of the late John

David Dryer, prominent local veterinarian and East Washington

Borough police officer, who was killed in the line of duty as a

borough police officer.

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

maintain appropriate signs which shall display the name of the

interchange designated under subsection (a).

Section 2.  Effective date.

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
