AN ACT

Amending Title 22 (Detectives and Private Police) of the

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for

rights of railroad or street railway policemen.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 22 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

§ 3306.  Rights.

Except where prohibited by law, railroad or street railway

policemen shall be subject to the act of July 23, 1970 (P.L.563,

No.195), known as the Public Employe Relations Act, in the same

manner and receive the same rights as units of guards at prisons

or mental hospitals or units of employees directly involved with

and necessary to the function of the courts in this

Commonwealth.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2011, or

immediately, whichever is later.
