AN ACT

Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in rates and ratemaking, providing for

service outages by electric utilities.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5
hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8
§ 1322.1. Service outages by electric utilities.
9
On the bill rendered by an electric utility following a
10
service outage, the electric utility shall credit the ratepayer
11
the amount of money charged for one kilowatt hour for each
12
kilowatt hour of the service outage.
13
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
