AN ACT

Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial

disclosure articles, further providing for definitions and

restricted activities.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 1102 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding definitions to read:

§ 1102.  Definitions.

The following words and phrases when used in this chapter

shall have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the

meanings given to them in this section:

"Gas."  Any fluid, either combustible or noncombustible,

which is produced in a natural state from the earth and which

maintains a gaseous or rarified state at standard temperature of

60 degrees Fahrenheit and pressure 14.7 PSIA, any manufactured

gas, any byproduct gas or any mixture of gases.

"Oil."  Hydocarbons in liquid form at standard temperature of

60 degrees Fahrenheit and pressure 14.7 PSIA.

Section 2.  Section 1103 of Title 65 is amended by adding a

subsection to read:

§ 1103.  Restricted activities.

(k)  Employment.--No public official or public employee shall

represent a company engaged in exploration or extraction of oil

or gas within this Commonwealth for two years after he leaves

the governmental body.

Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
