AN ACT

Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

2

Statutes, providing for Senior Resident Annual Fishing

3

License reciprocity.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Title 30 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

7

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8

§ 2702.2.  Senior Resident Annual Fishing License reciprocity.

(a)  Permission.--Notwithstanding any other provision of this

10

title, any person who possesses a valid and lawfully issued

11

Senior Resident Annual Fishing License or permit which has been

12

issued under the laws of another state, regardless of whether a

13

reciprocity agreement exists between the Commonwealth and the

14

state under subsection (b), may fish in any of the waters of

15

this Commonwealth or in any boundary waters if all of the

16

following apply:

(1)  The state provides a reciprocal privilege for

18

individuals possessing a Senior Resident Annual Fishing

License issued under section 2701(b) (relating to resident

2

fishing licenses).

(2)  The Attorney General has determined that the fishing

4

laws of the state are similar to the fishing laws of this

5

Commonwealth.

(b)  Reciprocity.--The following shall apply:

7

(1)  The Attorney General shall have the power and duty

8

to enter into reciprocity agreements with other states

9

providing for the mutual recognition of Senior Resident

10

Annual Fishing Licenses issued by the Commonwealth and a

11

similar license or permit issued by the other state. To carry

12

out this duty, the Attorney General is authorized to

13

negotiate reciprocity agreements and grant recognition of a

14

Senior Resident Annual Fishing License or permit issued by

15

another state.

16

(2)  The Attorney General shall report to the General

17

Assembly within 180 days of the effective date of this

18

paragraph and annually thereafter concerning the agreements

19

which have been consummated under this subsection.

20

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
