| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for firearms not to |
3 | be carried without a license. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 6106(b)(15) of Title 18 of the |
7 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
8 | § 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a license. |

10 | (b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not |
11 | apply to: |

13 | (15) Any person, except a resident of this Commonwealth, |
14 | who possesses a valid and lawfully issued license or permit |
15 | to carry a firearm which has been issued under the laws of |
16 | another state, regardless of whether a reciprocity agreement |
17 | exists between the Commonwealth and the state under section |
18 | 6109(k), provided: |

1 | (i) The state provides a reciprocal privilege for |
2 | individuals licensed to carry firearms under section |
3 | 6109. |
4 | (ii) The Attorney General has determined that the |
5 | firearm laws of the state are similar to the firearm laws |
6 | of this Commonwealth. |
