AN ACT

Amending the act of February 14, 2008 (P.L.6, No.3), entitled

2

"An act providing for access to public information, for a

3

designated open-records officer in each Commonwealth agency,

4

local agency, judicial agency and legislative agency, for

5

procedure, for appeal of agency determination, for judicial

6

review and for the Office of Open Records; imposing

7

penalties; providing for reporting by State-related

8

institutions; requiring the posting of certain State contract

9

information on the Internet; and making related repeals," in

10

requirements and prohibitions, providing for legislative

11

expense information.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

13

hereby enacts as follows:

14

Section 1.  The act of February 14, 2008 (P.L.6, No.3), known

15

as the Right-to-Know Law, is amended by adding a section to

16

read:

Section 307.  Legislative expense information.

18

(a)  Duty to post.--Each member of the General Assembly shall

19

make the information specified in subsection (b) available on

20

the member's publicly accessible Internet website. Information

21

relating to the legislative expenses shall be:

22

(1)  Posted on a monthly basis.

(2)  Maintained on the member's publicly accessible

2

Internet website for a period of one year from the initial

3

posting date.

(b)  Legislative expense information.--The following

5

legislative expense information shall be posted by each member

6

in accordance with subsection (a):

7

(1)  Personal expenses relating to:

8

(i)  Vehicle expenses.

9

(ii)  Reimbursements for mileage and tolls.

10

(iii)  Per diem reimbursements for meals and lodging.

(2)  District office operating expenses relating to:

12

(i)  Office lease.

13

(ii)  Utilities.

14

(iii)  Office supplies.

15

(iv)  Publications.

16

(v)  Postage.

17

(vi)  Constituent events.

18

(vii)  Staff mileage.

19

(viii)  Pennsylvania flags.

20

(ix)  Other services or supplies.

(3)  Capitol office operating expenses relating to:

22

(i)  Postage.

(ii)  Other services or supplies.

(c)  Relevant descriptive information.--In addition to the

25

information required under subsection (b), each member may

26

include relevant descriptive information relating to each

27

legislative expense specified in subsection (b).

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
