AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

2

Consolidated Statutes, in falsification and intimidation,

3

further providing for the offense of impersonating a notary

4

public or a holder of a professional or occupational license.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 4913(b) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania

8

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

9

§ 4913.  Impersonating a notary public or a holder of a

10

professional or occupational license.

(b)  Grading.--

(3)  If the intent of the actor is to impersonate a

15

medical doctor and, in so doing, the actor provides medical

16

advice or treatment to another person as a patient,

regardless of whether or not the other person suffers harm

2

from the medical advice or treatment, an offense under this

3

section is a felony of the first degree.

4

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
