AN ACT

Making an appropriation to the Philadelphia Health and Education

2

Corporation for the Colleges of Medicine, Public Health,

3

Nursing and Health Professions for continuation of pediatric

4

services.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

7

Section 1.  The sum of $317,000 is hereby appropriated to the

8

Philadelphia Health and Education Corporation, for the fiscal

9

year July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2010, for continued pediatric

10

outpatient and inpatient treatment of severe physically

11

disabling diseases.

Section 2.  Payments to the Philadelphia Health and Education

13

Corporation on account of the appropriation provided in section

14

1 shall be made in equal quarterly payments by the Secretary of

15

Health.

Section 3.  The Philadelphia Health and Education Corporation

17

shall provide full, complete and accurate information for the

18

appropriation under section 1 as may be required by the

19

Department of Health or the chairman or the minority chairman of

the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the chairman or

2

the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the

3

House of Representatives.

Section 4.  The trustees of the Philadelphia Health and

5

Education Corporation for the Colleges of Medicine, Public

6

Health, Nursing and Health Professions shall report on forms

7

provided by the Department of Health to both the chairman and

8

minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate

9

and the chairman and minority chairman of the Appropriations

10

Committee of the House of Representatives by September 30, 2010,

11

on how State-appropriated funds were expended for fiscal year

12

2009-2010 to provide services to Pennsylvania residents.

13

Section 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.
